Boat Outfitters is what happens when a boat-builder's supplier decides to sell to the owners too. The company grew out of Teak Isle Manufacturing, a Florida shop that has made parts for production boat builders for more than 40 years, and it now supplies over 300 builders, has engineered more than 100,000 custom parts across 3,500-plus boat models, and runs a 200,000-square-foot plant with 350 people. The consumer side sells the same materials and fabrication direct: King StarBoard, Coosa board, fiberglass, and acrylic sheet, cut to order.
That pedigree is the point. A generic plastics supplier will cut you a rectangle. Boat Outfitters knows what a livewell lid, a console door, a windshield trim plate, or a dash panel is for, and stocks the colors and the hardware to go with it.
